Accomplishments In Review


We have made the following accomplishments over the last few years and within the last year:

1. Made Men Ministry at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Center to mentor young men.

2.  Police Ride Along Program where Pastors/Ministers were able to ride with the police for four hours to observe the city and get acquainted on how crime scenes are handled.

3. Annual Citywide Revival 4/5 night services with an outside evangelist the week following Easter. Held at one of the local churches with combine participation from all IMA churches.

4. GoodFriday services at Greater Friendship M.B. Churches with 7 preachers bringing the message.

5. Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. service to commemorate Dr. King birthday, held on the Sunday prior to his birthday on January 15th and in 2012 it will be held in the Bendix Theatre of the Century Center.

6. I.M.A. Basketball Tournorment held in the Spring of 2011 for scholarships for High Schoolers and 1st year college Students. Held at Greater Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C.

7. Health and Educational Seminar held in May 2011 for Pastors to educate them on Life Skill topics and Educational opportunities related to health issues. Held at Saint Paul Bethel M.B. Church.

8. Health and Educational Seminar held at Gethsamane Church of Christ along with their Kidney Screening Test Seminar and outside barbecue. This was in June 2011.

9. July 23, 2011 was the 1st IMA combined picnic held at Saint Patrick's park.

10. I.M.A held it's first 100 Men Choir Concert on December 16th 2011 at Mount Olive M. B. Church, which was made up of men from South Bend and Elkhart.

11.  I.M.A. held a food, clothes, toys giveaway at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. on Saturday, December 17th.

12.  Every 5th Sunday we have a Sunday service @ 7:00pm and we rotate the preacher and location amongst each service.
